Carson Mell, author of the amazing novel Saguaro, has just released his second novel, The Blue Bourbon Orchestra. Chop Suey Books is the sole official distributor of this terrific new work.

Spanning the late eighties to the present, The Blue Bourbon Orchestra is an epic novel narrated by alcoholic guitarist Charles Leslie de Beau. With great candor, humor and regret, he tells the story of the greatest force he ever encountered, so powerful it completely changed the direction of his life and many others: the fading alt-country band The Blue Bourbon Orchestra and its silver-tongued lead singer, Guy Fisher.

Don't miss this wonderful book! For more information or to order The Blue Bourbon Orchestra, please contact us by phone at (804) 422-8066 or by email at info@chopsueybooks.com. Or order online through Carson's website and Chop Suey will fill the order!

Books On Wheels

Founded in February of 2007, Books On Wheels is definitely Richmond's best free book/free bike repair non-profit agency. With a fleet of 2 semi-functioning school buses, Books On Wheels is a mobile organization that gives away thousands of books and fixes hundreds of bikes a year. Their events usually take place in the Richmond area, but the buses have carried them as far north at Chicago, and as far south as Austin. They just returned from their third visit to New Orleans, and are "gearing" up for a summer of great events. They are always accepting donations of childrens' books and bikes of any size, all of which can be dropped off at Chop Suey Books. If you have any interest in hosting a Books On Wheels event, please contact them at booksonwheelsrva@yahoo.com.
